xx RETROLIB 3 -try it out( has a help file)
« Thread started on: Dec 12th, 2016, 04:34am »

There is no need to attach a library as I made the demo and retrolib 3 all in one.

This has two styles of turtles, eyes that move, bmp controls, buttons and other cool things.. Not all the abilities are shown.

Includes help reference ( I may make my programs talk to you to make it easy to follow.)

NOTE Extract the files from the download folder first and run it.

( also read carefully what is on the screen when you run the program)

What format is the file in?
After downloading. I get "Invalid File Format" if I try to load it in the editor or "Bad Program" if I try to run it.

I haven't downloaded much in BB4W so I assume there's a bit of knowledge I'm currently missing.

Ok, ignore last post - it was some peculiarity of the browser I was trialling (Slimjet) which seems unable to download the file correctly.

I used Firefox and it works fine.

Perhaps my trial of SlimJet is over.

RETROLIB is like object orientated programming.

I added a help reference text file to the link location.

The eyes are two separate eye controls.. I plan to make them sizeable. Also they can move lightning fast. So frame animation can be done.

If a person looks carefully, there are all sorts of different styles of tools.. Some, are much like what you would see in the Retro game Mario. block..

I already made a weapon that shoots, so I will make a game next..

If you look in the demo there is a tool called blast.

It is for making different explosions.

There is also a mask program for making sprites..

There is a 3D Ellipse Ring tool, a donut tool and other 3Dish type creations that can be customized.

There is also different styles of color tools... Some are super fast palette controls and RGB TINT tools and some are super flexible for interpreter style work.

The text string controls are meant to simplify and compact the commands.

I will attempt to make the text interpreter more efficient, by moving the controls directly into DEF PROCgr("")

** ALSO one of the most important projects for me is making realistic fire animation that is created with code like blast is created.. I think it will require some artistic math .

** Also on my to do list.. An extremely basic object creation utility for D3D..
