Hi Michael, just to add to my previous comment about dual development.

The limits of my assembler knowledge are specific to the windows environment and Intel asm itself. Ie I don't know specific commands for the call routines, hence my question about "oskey" and the operand int. I grew up with BBC asm, which is subtly different and has taken some time to adjust. Kept making mistakes like using bne instead of jne and call routines were created using jsr (jump sub-routine). Mostly I am up to speed now, just need a bit of help now and then to overcome nuances. If you need any help with understanding the assembler I am only to happy to help.

Keep on truckin'

I expect you can work out why - you typed "my ass"! The default Conforums profanity filter can result in some hilarious changes - not least to the entirely inoffensive Lincolnshire town of Scunthorpe! In any case being British I would say the word is "arse" not "ass". grin

I've now switched it off.

Richard.
